Fernando Gutierrez , the creator of a ready–to–cook flour tortilla, Gutierrez spent more than 20 years as a dental assistant. His fond memories as a child watching his aunt make homemade tortillas, however, have inspired him to change direction.

Now 55, Gutierrez is the owner of Torti Products. His flour tortillas – available in whole wheat and white flour – are available in 25 regional grocery stores.
